Update on extensive search operation in the Isle of Grain area

After issuing an appeal  for parents to get in touch, the UK Coastguard is pleased to report that a parent has been in touch after seeing the MCA’s twitter account to report that her son was playing in the area with other boys and they had left the area safely.

All units were stood down at around 12.05am today (Tuesday 6 September).

We would like to reiterate that no children were reported missing and the search was a precautionary measure to rule out anyone in difficulty.
