UK Coastguard coordinates search on the River Clyde


At approximately 5pm this evening (29 November) the UK Coastguard was alerted to a possible person in the River Clyde in Glasgow city centre.

The Greenock and Helensburgh Coastguard Rescue Teams, Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and the Coastguard helicopter from Prestwick carried out an extensive search.
 
The search has now been suspended pending further information.
