TEENAGER RESCUED FROM CLIFFS AT CHARMOUTH

On Saturday afternoon, Lyme and West Bay Coastguard Rescue Teams rescued a 17 year old from cliffs near Charmouth.  He had become stuck approximately 40 metres down whilst trying to recover a dog.  The picture shows cracks and crevasses in the cliff top as this area is particularly unstable especially after the wet weather earlier this year.

Coastguard advice for dog owners is to always keep your pet on a lead near cliff edges
