Incident at Godrevy on 16 June: Maritime & Coastguard Agency statement

Just after midday yesterday (16 June), Coastguard rescue teams, RNLI lifeboats, lifeguards, helicopters and paramedics were sent to reports of someone who had fallen over cliffs between Mutton Point and Godrevy Point, Cornwall.
South Western Ambulance Service asked HM Coastguard to assist in the incident, resulting in both lifeboats from St Ives, the Coastguard teams from Portreath and St Ives and lifeguards from Godrevy and Gwithian going to the scene along with the air ambulance.
Initially, HM Coastguard search and rescue helicopters from St Athan and then Newquay were requested, but then stood down. We have no further information on this incident and it remains in the hands of Devon and Cornwall Police.
