Passenger medevac'd from cruise ship to hospital

A cruise ship passenger who needed urgent medical attention was medevac'd to hospital by the Caernarfon Coastguard helicopter on Friday evening.

HM Coastguard's Aeronautical Rescue Coordination Centre received the call for assistance for the female passenger at around 7.10pm on Friday 7 June.

The cruise ship was on route from Liverpool to Trondheim and the ship's doctor was tending to the casualty.

The Caernarfon Coastguard helicopter was immediately sent to the scene.  The casualty and her husband were winched onboard and flown to hospital - where we wish her a speedy recovery.
