Gearing up for Brighton Pride tomorrow

MCA staff are counting down the days until the Brighton Pride Parade on Saturday 4 August. The MCA team will be joining their emergency services family and the festival goers in the parade with a newly designed Coastguard vehicle, starting at 11:00 am from Hove Lawns.

Courtesy of Babcock International, a HM Coastguard vehicle features a new design - which was free of charge - that we'll be proudly showing up to the crowds!

Chris Thomas, Deputy Director of Maritime Operations, said: ‘I’ll be joining our staff, volunteers and Coastguard vehicle in the parade to make a statement: be yourself.’
'Our involvement says, 'this is who we are’ – an inclusive workforce that actively promotes and supports diversity and an organisation that wants to encourage everyone to be proud and feel safe in being who they are.
‘Of course, it’s also a great, fun-filled day out in Brighton!’
