Cliff Rescue At Combe Martin

On Sunday May 1st, Falmouth Coastguard received a 999 call at 3pm about two 15 year old males trapped on cliffs at Combe Martin. Ilfracombe Coastguard Rescue Team was sent to help and located them on the cliff. One of them had been able to get off the cliff himself and the Coastguard Rescue Helicopter based at St Athan winched the other one to solid ground and the coastguard team reunited him with family.

The pair had been using a dinghy in the water and got stuck while trying to climb up from the shore. Both were uninjured.
